Care
• Vacuum regularly on low suction, without a beater bar or rotating brush.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
• For deeper cleaning, we recommend professional rug cleaning only.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise fading.
• Keep away from excessive moisture and damp areas.
• Rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.
• Some shedding is natural with handmade rugs and will reduce over time.
• Do not pull loose fibres; carefully trim them with scissors if required.
An indigo ground moves the way water moves on paper — deeper in some passages, almost washed out in others, so the blue never settles into one flat note.
Across it, rosettes and eight-point tiles repeat in ivory and a heavy mustard gold, the two palettes arguing gently with each other the way they do in a painter's night sky.
The motifs are drawn loosely rather than mechanically, with soft edges that look brushed on rather than stamped, which is where the collection takes its name.
Each piece is hand tufted in 100% wool on a frame, the loops set low and even so the pattern reads clearly underfoot without any of the sheen that flattens colour.
The wool takes dye unevenly on purpose, and that slight mottling in the ground is the point — it gives the indigo depth you can't get from a machine-made carpet.
It is a confident piece and works best where it can be seen whole: under a bed, beneath a low coffee table, or anchoring a seating group against pale walls and warm wood.
Made in India by artisans who have worked this technique for years, and finished by hand at the edges.
