Care
• Vacuum regularly on low suction, without a beater bar or rotating brush.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
• For deeper cleaning, we recommend professional rug cleaning only.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise fading.
• Keep away from excessive moisture and damp areas.
• Rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.
• Some shedding is natural, especially with handmade rugs, and will reduce over time.
• Do not pull loose fibres; carefully trim them with scissors if required.
Tally is made of short horizontal strokes, hundreds of them, stacked in loose rows like a count kept by hand.
The strokes run through rust, terracotta, blush and sand, with bands of black cutting across at intervals to give the design its rhythm.
They gather more densely towards the centre and thin out at the edges, where the cream ground shows through.
Hand tufted in New Zealand wool, each stroke keeps a slightly ragged edge, as if made with a dry brush.
It is a warm, energetic piece for a living room, a reading corner or beside a bed, and sits well with wood and natural fabrics.
Made in India by hand.
