If a loose thread appears, trim it carefully with scissors rather than pulling it.

Parquet borrows the geometry of a wooden floor: squares built from diagonal bands that meet at the centre, set side by side so the bands join into large chevrons.
The bands are striped in taupe, grey-brown and sand, with a clear thread of pale blue running through them.
Hand tufted in wool, worked by hand across the frame so the surface keeps a slight irregularity a machine cannot reproduce.
At 5 x 8 ft it layers well over a hard floor in a living room, bedroom or study.
