Care
Vacuum approximately once a week on a low-suction setting.
Use a gentle vacuum head and avoid vigorous brushing, scrubbing, or repeated passes over the same area.
Never beat or strike the rug to remove dust.
For deeper dust removal, gently shake the rug when practical or occasionally vacuum the reverse side.
Attend to spills immediately by blotting with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this may spread the stain or disturb the fibres.
Do not use bleach, harsh detergents, or strong household cleaning products.
Avoid saturating the rug with water and do not allow it to remain damp for extended periods.
Rotate the rug periodically to help distribute foot traffic, wear, and natural colour changes evenly.
Minimise prolonged exposure to strong, direct sunlight to help preserve the rug’s colours.
For thorough cleaning or difficult stains, we recommend using a professional rug-cleaning service experienced with handmade rugs.
Ionic is covered edge to edge in a Greek key: one continuous meander that turns in on itself and steps diagonally across the whole carpet.
It is worked in two tones only, charcoal black and pale silver grey, so from a distance the pattern settles into a fine, even texture.
Hand knotted in a blend of New Zealand wool and viscose, the wool keeps the key sharp while the viscose gives the pale lines a soft sheen.
At 9 x 11.1 ft it is a room-sized carpet, best in a living or dining room where furniture can sit fully on it.
Made in India by hand.
