Hand-tufted
Tufted by hand on a vertical loom.
Material
New Zealand Wool
Origin
Bhadohi, India
Care
Vacuum about once a week on a low-suction setting.
Avoid vacuum heads with rotating or beater brushes, as they may disturb the pile.
Do not strike or beat the rug to remove dust.
In case of spills, blot gently and promptly with a clean, dry cloth.
Avoid rubbing or scrubbing stains, which can affect the rug’s surface and fibres.
Hand-tufted rugs should not be washed, soaked, or shampooed.
Protect the rug from excessive moisture and avoid placing it on damp surfaces.
If a loose thread appears, trim it carefully with scissors rather than pulling it.
Turn the rug periodically to encourage more uniform wear.
For deeper cleaning or stubborn stains, use a professional rug-cleaning service.
Flamestitch takes its name from the old needlework pattern: bands of sharp zigzag running edge to edge, one stacked on the next, inside a narrow border.
The bands move through grey, taupe, sand and a soft slate blue, close enough in tone that the whole carpet reads as one quiet, shifting neutral.
Hand tufted in New Zealand wool, each band is stitched in fine lines that follow the zigzag and give it movement.
A calm patterned carpet for a living room or bedroom, easy to pair with linen, oak and pale stone.
Made in India by hand.
