Care
Vacuum approximately once a week on a low-suction setting.
Use a gentle vacuum head and avoid vigorous brushing, scrubbing, or repeated passes over the same area.
Never beat or strike the rug to remove dust.
For deeper dust removal, gently shake the rug when practical or occasionally vacuum the reverse side.
Attend to spills immediately by blotting with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this may spread the stain or disturb the fibres.
Do not use bleach, harsh detergents, or strong household cleaning products.
Avoid saturating the rug with water and do not allow it to remain damp for extended periods.
Rotate the rug periodically to help distribute foot traffic, wear, and natural colour changes evenly.
Minimise prolonged exposure to strong, direct sunlight to help preserve the rug’s colours.
For thorough cleaning or difficult stains, we recommend using a professional rug-cleaning service experienced with handmade rugs.
Erosion is subtraction as a design process — the shape arrived at by what water and wind take away rather than what anyone adds.
Hand knotted in pure silk, the finest fibre in the range, capable of holding gradation that would be lost in wool.
At 8 x 10 ft in silk it is one of the more significant pieces in the collection.
Best in a low-traffic room — a formal sitting room or a principal bedroom — where silk is treated as silk.
