Care
• Vacuum regularly on low suction, without a beater bar or rotating brush.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
• For deeper cleaning, we recommend professional rug cleaning only.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise fading.
• Keep away from excessive moisture and damp areas.
• Rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.
• Some shedding is natural with handmade rugs and will reduce over time.
• Do not pull loose fibres; carefully trim them with scissors if required.
Celadon is named for the glaze — that pale grey-green that pools thicker in the hollows of a pot and thins over its edges.
The field here is a soft, clouded grey, laid over with a turquoise trellis that arcs and meets in long ogees down the length of the carpet.
Olive and khaki leaves fall through the lattice, and a wide sand border carries palmettes in the same muted greens, so the whole piece stays within a narrow, restful range.
There is no strong contrast anywhere in it, which is deliberate: this is a carpet for a room that needs grounding rather than a focal point.
It is hand tufted in 100% wool with a low loop pile, giving a firm, close surface that holds the fine outlines of the trellis without blurring.
The mottling in both the grey field and the sand border is the wool's own — dyed in small lots, so no two runs sit exactly alike.
Made in India by hand, from the tufting frame through to the finished edge.
