Care
• Vacuum regularly on low suction, without a beater bar or rotating brush.
• Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
• For deeper cleaning, we recommend professional rug cleaning only.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to minimise fading.
• Keep away from excessive moisture and damp areas.
• Rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear.
• Some shedding is natural with handmade rugs and will reduce over time.
• Do not pull loose fibres; carefully trim them with scissors if required.
Herbarium reads like a pressed-flower album: specimens laid out across a cream page, each one drawn rather than photographed.
Vines scroll across the field in sage and olive, carrying powder-blue palmettes, soft pink blossoms and small dark leaves that keep the whole thing from turning sweet.
A deep chocolate border frames it, dense with the same botanicals in reverse, so the pale centre lifts against it.
Of the eight pieces in Poetry in Wash this is the most traditional in its drawing, though the mottled ground and softened outlines keep it closer to watercolour than to a formal Persian floral.
It is hand tufted in 100% wool with a low loop pile — firm underfoot, and fine enough to hold the thin stems of the vine work without them breaking up.
It sits well in a dining room or a living room with older furniture, and it is forgiving in a busy household because the pattern carries traffic well.
